The Portuguese manager returned to Stamford Bridge for the first time as an opposition manager, where he was embarrassed by a brilliant Chelsea performance.
In the final minutes of the match, Blues manager Conte was seen urging his club's fans to making a little more noise as it was clear he was delighted with his side’s display.
According to Sky Italia, at the final whistle, Mourinho said to Conte: "You do that at 1-0, not at 4-0. At 4-0, it's humiliating."
However, Conte has explained that he was not attempting to be disrespectful, he just wanted fans to appreciate Chelsea's performance on the day.
"I was listening to the support of Manchester United, always supporting their team, and I was asking my team to do a clap for my players," he told Sky Sports.
"All the players deserves this clap."
