Russia's military Develops New Satellite Communication System

Russia is working on the development and engineering of a unified satellite communication system for military use; when completed the system will give the country's Ground Forces considerable superiority over the communication technologies of the ground forces of leading foreign states, Alexander Galgash, said.
 According to him, development work is being conducted now on the third stage of the United System of Satellite Communication 3, with space complexes in geostationary and highly elliptical orbits and terrestrial satellite communications complexes of various positioning.
He also explained  that Russia is working on a new generation of radio systems and transponders for aircraft. The development of the new system is being conducted under the framework of research and development that will allow Russia to achieve a significant advantage over the communication technology of the land forces of foreign states.
