Suicide Bombing In Syrian Kurdistan’s Hasaka Kills At Least 16

Suicide bombing in Syrian Kurdistan's HasakaKurdistan,— A suicide bomber on a motorcycle blew himself up at a marketplace in the Hasaka Governorate of Syrian Kurdistan near a shop selling bread on Tuesday killing at least 16 people and wounding many others.
A Kurdish source told Sputnik News on Tuesday that over 30 people died in a suicide bombing in the northeastern Syrian city of Hasaka.
The suicide bomber reportedly targeted a crowd of people in the governorate’s eastern sub-district of al-Salehiyah.The Kurdish city of Hasaka is close to the border between Iraqi Kurdistan Region and the Syrian Kurdistan, or better know as Rojava.
Meanwhile an estimated 21 Islamic State (IS) militants were killed during clashes with the Syrian Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) in the town of al-Shaddadah.
The YPG issued a statement on Tuesday saying an attack launched by IS on Sunday in al-Shaddadah, 60 km south of the city of Hasaka in northeastern Syria, was thwarted.
The YPG said the bodies of 13 militants were left behind and two bomb laden cars were destroyed before they reached YPG lines.In an operation launched by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on June 1 more than 100 villages in a 400 square km area were liberated. The SDF has taken control of the entire road between Raqqa and Manbij and blocked access to the Turkish border.
The SDF has surrounded the city of Manbij and fighting is ongoing in some quarters inside the city.
More than 45 percent of Manbij has been regained by the SDF. The remaining area is occupied by civilians making the SDF reluctant to carry out operations there, according to Hawar News Agency.   WNC
